When we can’t get out as often as we used to, we don’t want to stop doing the things we always did. Our home has been built around the philosophy that if you can’t go out to the world, we’ll bring the world in to you. So here at Hendford you’ll find a hair a beauty salon staffed with regular visiting hair stylists and other practitioners, a coffee lounge with freshly ground coffee that rivals the best Italian coffee houses and a social activities programme built around your individual choices for how you like to spend your time. Our programme is renewed every month and is comprehensive to say the least. Every day we aim to offer several activities, ranging from one to one sessions such as aromatherapy and massage, group activities such as crosswords, quizzes and exercise events, visiting entertainers such as musicians, theatrical events as well as regular visits from ministers of religion.
Aurora also has it’s own minibus that makes regular trips to places you’d like to go. That might be out to Batcombe Down for the bluebells, down to West Bay for fish and chips on the quay or up to Ham Hill for the view on a summer afternoon. And when we’re not out and about we’re probably holding food events such as cream teas, barbeques in the garden or Italian evenings.
Naturally, there is no obligation to participate in any activity, but if there’s something you’d like to do, we will endeavour to ensure you are able to.
