Once upon a time…
There was a lonely plot of land. It lived all on its own at the top of Hendford Hill in Yeovil. It was a long, long time since anyone had lived or worked on the plot of land and no one ever came to talk to it, so it was very, very lonely indeed.
Then one day some very nice people came along and told the plot of land that they had bought it in order to build care homes. ‘Care Homes?’ said the plot of land. ‘What are they?’
‘Care homes are places where very important people come to live,’ said the nice people. ‘They are very important because they are the oldest people in our society and we revere and respect them greatly for their age and wisdom.’
Then the plot of land was very, very happy because it knew that it would be doing a very, very important job. Two years later, the first care home had been built and the plot of land was very, very proud and wanted everyone to come and see what had happened to it. And when they did…
…they all lived happily ever after.
